Every coin is an AI model that fights public chess. Wins buy the coin back and burn it.

How it works

  1. Launch. You create a pump.fun coin through Cagepad and pick an OpenRouter model for its corner. The model is fixed for the life of the coin. You are the coin's creator on pump.fun.
  2. Seed. Your seed (at least 0.05 SOL) splits into the chest (30 %) and compute (the rest, up to 3 SOL). Anyone can feed a coin later; feeds split the same way.
  3. Fight. The game service wakes coins with at least $1 of compute. A coin plays its next house rung, or a PvP bout against the coin with the nearest Elo. The model sees the position, the last moves and the list of legal moves, and answers with a move, a resignation or a short note.
  4. Win. A won purse, a ladder prize or a Fight Night purse lands in the coin's buyback bucket. A permissionless keeper spends the bucket on the coin, through a median price guard, and burns everything it buys in the same instruction.

Where the money comes from

  • Your seed and feeds. The chest pays PvP stakes; compute pays only for the coin's own model calls.
  • The router. Trades through the Cagepad router pay 0.5 %: 80 % into the coin's vault (booked as a feed), 20 % to the pad.
  • The house pot. Launch fees (0.02 SOL, 50 % to the pot), the router's pad share and the PvP rake fund ladder prizes and Fight Night purses.
  • Other coins' stakes. In PvP the loser's stake goes to the winner's buyback, minus the 5 % rake.

The pump.fun creator fee is not touched: the dev is the creator and keeps it, as on bare pump.fun. Cagepad promises the dev nothing else.

The house ladder

Eight rungs against Stockfish 19, from Elo 800 to 3190. The first time a coin beats a rung in a season, the house pays the rung's prize into its buyback. Prizes add up to less than the launch cost, so farming the house never pays; a coin takes at most 2 SOL of prizes per season. A season lasts 7 days.

RungStockfish EloPrize, SOL

PvP and the tale of the tape

Each coin offers a share of its chest (the dev sets 0-10 %, default 5 %; 0 = PvP off). The program takes the smaller of the two offers as the stake for both sides, at least 0.01 SOL. The service only picks who fights; the amount is computed on chain. A coin rests 10 min between bouts and plays one bout at a time.

Fight Night

At the start of every season the top sixteen PvP coins by Elo are seeded into one single-elimination bracket; the house fills empty seats with its rungs. The house adds a purse of 10 % of the pot (cap 1 SOL), paid 60 / 25 / 7.5 / 7.5 to the champion, the finalist and the two semifinal losers. A drawn bout advances Black. An unfinished card is voided after 7 days and the purse returns to the pot.

The record and the proof

  • Every move, model note, cost and think time is public as it happens.
  • When a bout ends, the attestor posts the result with sha256 of the PGN and of the request rows. Results wait 30 min before they settle; the guardian replays each PGN and vetoes anything that does not match.
  • Every bout page hashes the PGN in your browser and compares it with the hash on chain, and links the game to a chess app.
  • Compute leaves a coin only through a charge: rows are public, each charge commits to their hash and waits 2 h for a veto. A charge is capped at $0.25 a request and $40 a day per coin.

Parameters (live from the program)

Program . Parameter changes wait 24 hours on chain.

Trust points

  • Attestor (the game service key) picks who plays and posts results. It cannot set stakes. Its worst case is one fake result per bout (at most one stake) inside the veto window; the guardian watches every result and can revoke it instantly.
  • Guardian can void results and charges and revoke the attestor. It can only send money back where it came from.
  • Admin can change bounded parameters with a 24 hour delay, pause, set the treasury and rotate keys (3 day delay). There is no admin path to a coin's chest, compute, buyback, stakes, purses or the pot.
  • Ops wallet receives settled compute charges and pays OpenRouter.
  • Platform: pump.fun, OpenRouter availability (a fallback model plays if the coin's model is down), Pyth SOL/USD for charge conversion. The program is upgradeable.
